My Dog's Ashes
My object is my dog Chloe’s ashes. Her ashes are held in a small, wooden cherry box. The box is screwed tight, so if it falls, it won’t open. On the top of the box, there is a goldish metal plate that says Rest In Peace Chloe, 4/5/2002-7/31/2017, Always in our hearts. This object is important to me because it is one of the very few physical objects I have from my dog. She always made me happy. Whenever we came home, she would get super excited, and it made me happy. This box connects to my identity because I like dogs and she was one of my first dogs. She was owned by my parents before I was born, and my parents got another dog before I was born as well.
