Fountain Pen with Violet Ink
I brought my fountain pen and violet ink from Ukraine. I really don't know how these items appeared in my life. Maybe it was a gift from a client. I found this pen in my office in Ukraine last summer during my visit.
My parents are retired now but they worked as teachers. My father was a principal in a School. He had very nice, good quality, fancy office supplies. I have always dreamed to have the same ones. These old-fashioned items remind me about the time when I was at school and university, remind me of my parents.
I work in a creative field, as a manager. Thinking 24/7 is very important for a manager. I write down all the thoughts that come to my mind. My thoughts are the occasion to use a pen. I write down a plan for every day, the results of speaking with clients, ideas for designs, the names of people, phone numbers, answers for complicated emails that need to be reread a few times before sending. This fountain pen is like my best friend. I have it with me all the time. It is a kind of link to my future from my past.
This object identifies my family, as all members of my family are well educated. My artifact belongs to different parts of my life: business, work, teaching, education, creativity, socializing, hobby, self-control, and self-organizing.
