Army Photo
My object is a picture of my grandmother's cousin who fought in the army around 76 years ago.
This picture is important to our family because it reminds us of Italy and my grandma. Italy is where my grandmother grew up and I hope to one day visit.
The backstory is that he was sent to the United States by his dad (my 2nd cousin) because his farm was abandoned due to a natural disaster. He sent his five kids to America. All of his kids were about twenty years old. They were responsible enough to start their own life. My family member joined the US army and fought against his homeland because he was not happy with the Italian government. He was around 28 years old when he retired from the army. He fought in the army for 3 to 4 years.
This picture is worth nothing monetarily, but it priceless to me and my family.
