Coconut Bread
My family is from Jamaica. My grandparents, dad, and uncle came for a better life. My object is a recipe. The recipe is for coconut bread. It’s really soft and fluffy. It doesn’t taste anything like coconut. The bread taste a little sweet, such as most other breads. I chose it because it’s really popular in Jamaica. We only make it and eat on special occasions like, Christmas, Thanksgiving and more. It goes with everything you would put on normal bread. My grandma learned how to make it the regular way. Then she started putting her own twist to it. She thought it was plain so she added other things such as cinnamon and vanilla extract. This recipe is special because my family really likes it. When my family likes something they want it more often. So they enjoy family gatherings more because of coconut bread. My question is why it’s called coconut bread if it doesn’t taste like a coconut? Ingredients:1 coconut3 cups of flour1 ½ cups of sugar2 cups of raisins (optional)4 tsp baking powderPinch of baking soda1 teaspoon salt, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, and almond extract1 stick of margarine (butter)2 cups of milk
