Tang Yuan
My object is tang yuan, a dessert from China. It’s made from glutinous rice flour mixed with water to make balls. Tang yuan can be filled or unfilled. Tang yuan is meaningful in Chinese culture. The round shape of the balls presents family and union, and surmounted obstacles. I remember The Lantern Festival a long time ago when my mother cooked tang yuan for me, for the first time. I found Tang yuan to be delicious. It has a nice snow white color. On the outside is glutinous rice and inside is a sweet bean paste, I still love to eat tang yuan, and I can buy it from the supermarket. For me tang yuan represents my Chinese culture.
