Stollen
My Oma came to the United States when she was 19, to have a better life than in Germany at the time. She took the German culture with her when she came to the United States. Every year we go to the Octoberfest in Tulsa, and listen to music all day for four days at the Octoberfest. One of the most special things she makes from her culture is Stollen. She makes it every Christmas and Easter. Its very special, because she only makes it for the most important occasions. She's made it every year during the two holidays all of my life. We are very close with our German culture, and the best way for me to keep in touch with my culture is eating Stollen with my Oma.
