Statue of Krishna
My object is a statue of Krishna (kr-sh-na). A God that we worship in my religion of Hinduism. The statue of Krishna is a small replica from a temple that I attend. However, I have many more statues that are important to my religion. That statues are meant to represent and remind you of the different gods. My statue is made out of stone and clay. Krishna’s body is light blue. He has a male peacock’s feather on his long dark hair and a peacock next to him. He’s holding a flute and playing the most joyful music ever heard. He’s wearing a scarf over his shoulder, and jewels on both of his hands. I chose this statue of Krishna because it connects me with my culture. It is also symbolic that I’m religious. Krishna is also the God of all gods. The other gods took form from him. This statue connects me a lot with my dad because he is deeply connected to God. My dad has taught my sister and I to pray and to have great pride that we are from Bangladesh. I think in the future I would love to do work that I can help others through prayer. Prayer brings you peace and can help you in your everyday life be stronger.
