Prayer Book
My object is a prayer book from Israel. You use it on holidays and/or Fridays. My family doesn’t use it anymore because they know the prayers by heart. This book is from my great grandpa who passed it down to my grandpa who passed it down to my dad.
I chose this book because it will help me learn how to read in Hebrew and to memorize the prayers. My grandpa lived in Iraq and he brought this book with him when he moved to Israel. My grandpa gave it to my dad when my he moved to the U.S. in 2001.
My grandpa would probably want me to learn to read in Hebrew. I can speak in Hebrew a little bit, so it would be good for me to read in Hebrew. So I will use the book to practice. I think that the prayers will be soothing too.
