Pharaoh Necklace

In Attire
Relationship: Child of im/migrant

My mother gave me a necklace when I was two years old.  It has an image of a pharaoh on it.  It is  from Egypt. It is on a blue beaded necklace. I wear that necklace on occasions  when I am going to exhibits  about Egyptian history. It feels like metal. It is a symbol of my egyptian background. The necklace represents egyptian history and  the great pharaohs  from long ago. I am a first generation Egyptian american.  The necklace reminds me of the oldest civilization. Every time i wear the necklace, It reminds me of my heritage. I am proud of who I am. It is also important to me because my mother put a lot of thought into picking it out for me. When I wear the necklace it makes me feel happy. I am reminded of the trips that I have taken to Egypt. I can learn more Egyptian history. Some of my friends like to learn about old civilizations too like charlie. Parents of some of my six grade friends are from other countries too. So, my friends are first generation Americans like myself and I enjoy learning about their culture as well.
