maracas

In Fun

My artifact is from Latin America. Maracas, sometimes called rumba shakers and other names, are musical instruments that you need to shake to use. Maracas sound like rattlesnakes when their tail is shaking. The maracas are filled with seeds, so when shakened it makes sound. When using the maracas it needs skill. So when you shake it it takes some time to go the way you shake it. You need to shake it at the right time so it can go at the right way. I am Mexican and in Mexico maracas are used in some of the music. It’s also used for festive occasions. In my home my mother and Aunt love cooking traditional Mexican foods and listen to Mexican music.
