knife

My object is a knife that was given to me by my grandpa. It looks gold, silver and blue. It feels like metal. It is made out of metal. It has a brass eagle emblem on the hilt and an etching of an eagle on the blade.  It is used for cutting things. The place it came from is America. The object was given to me by my grandpa. The object is important to me because my grandpa is dead. It is also important to me because it was the last thing he gave to me. He gave it to me when I was five but he didn’t let me keep it until I was older.

It describes part of who I am because it was given to me by my grandpa and some of my best memories are with my grandpa on his boat and at his lake house.  We would go out on his boat and ride four wheelers.  He was a very important part of my childhood. He was also always making jokes.  He would lighten the mood and make me laugh.  He was a huge collector - when I say collector, he saw value in everything.  I enjoyed looking through it all and finding things like a bottle of bubble soap from 1902.  It was the consistency of glue.  We would go see him during the summer and during spring break. When we would have time off we would go down there.
In conclusion, this knife means a lot to me because it reminds me of my grandpa.
