Kave Cezvesi

My object is a porcelain kave cezvesi (KAH-ve-Jaz-vas-I) or “porcelain coffee pot”. It originates from Turkey. It is used for making coffee on special occasions like holidays (for example, Eid or Ramadan) or weddings. This object was passed to my mother when she was immigrating to America in 2003. I chose this object because this tells a lot about my culture. When people look at it they would look on the design and understand that in the Turkish culture people make traditional coffee.
