When I first came to NYC, I had bought a round trip ticket. I was planning just to visit and learn more about this city. I did not want to stay in NYC. However, I decided to stay here because the economy in my country Venezuela had collapsed. I did not bring too many things. The most important thing that I brought was my phone, but I lost it in the subway. I was thinking that I did not have anything that reminds me in the past. I left everything in my home country. One of the few things I brought to New York when I moved here from Venezuela was the book bag. I’ve used ever since high school. My schoolbag brings back many memories. I remember when I first received it as a birthday gift and how I carried it on many beach in my country. Also, I put my lunch in the bag every day and I never forgot to carry them. Today, I am using this bag to work and go to the school. This school bag is one of the most important thing that remind everything in the past.
