A gift from my dad
A Gift From My Dad
I moved to the U.S. a year ago. Although I had a good life in my country, I still decided to move because I need to finish my studies. I was sad because my dad needed to work in my hometown. So my dad could't go with me. Before I left , he gave me a violin to play. It is a good violin, and it is super expensive. Every time I went to the violin store, I asked my dad if I can buy it but he said no, I can’t believe he bought that for me. When I got on the plane I saw he cried. It was the first time I saw him crying. When I missed him I played the violin, I recorded every song I played, and I sent messages to my dad, my dad felt proud about me. This will allow me to reduce my thoughts on him. But in this colorful land, I saw a wider world and was exposed to more cultures. I have many challenging things to do every day. Now I continue my education, and I feel better and better. I almost don’t miss him anymore. I thank my dad because he pushed me to move and get a new life. I get to see my dad in the summer time. I played my violin for my dad, and he liked that. I can now connect to my friend Art, because he has a violin as his important object.
